The Human Race seems to have an extraordinary ability to produce waste. The more affluent we become the more wasteful we become. Earth as a space ship has only a finite ability to absorb this waste and this limit, in the opinion of some, has been reached. The Heal Group in its field has made its best endeavours to reduce where possible the size and volume of its waste and to produce a re-usable bi-product if at all possible.
A good example of this is the Pagerungan Gas Centre in Indonesia where all Organic Waste was collected and Composted to provide a soil additive and at the same time protected an environmentally sensitive Island that could not tolerate high levels of wasteful practice.
Sewage Plants as one of their bi-products produce Sludge in somtimes quite large quantites. Heal can offer a range of equipment to allow these sludges to be de-watered and made ready for ongoing treatment prior to disposal.
In order to enhance treatment and to make for solids handling of the Sewage Sludges, Heal can offer the patented Zeoflocc Process which enables faster dewatering of sludges as well as enabling the sludges to retain high levels of nutrients which can then be made available in products that may be produced from the Activated Sludges at a later date.
To the right is a typical Zeoflocc Feeder which in this case is dosing the 8.0Ml Queens Road Sewage Treatment Plant south of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

This Plant historically had bulking problems with SVI's in the region of 200. The Zeoflocc Process allowed this to be brought down to approximately 40 with the inherent stability offered by Zeoflocc and the higher biomass then available to allow the Plant to operate more efficiently.

This Plant also had an odour problem which was markedly reduced with the Zeoflocc dosing. The dose rate for this facility was 50.0mg/l of Zeoflocc powder.
The Zeoflocc process enables rapid settling of solids within the Treatment Plant. This has the advantages of allowing increased flow per volume or a marked improvement in effluent quality for the same throughput.
